S1100pj to replace current S1000pj projector model
Nikon appears to be readying several new Coolpix cameras, the S1100pj and S5100, according to pictures leaked ahead of schedule in the German magazine Foto Digital. The S1100pj, with a built-in projector, will likely serve as the rumored replacement to the current S1000pj. The camera is also said to offer a touchscreen, remote control, and several other minor improvements.
The magazine also lists the new Coolpix S5100 alongside the projector camera and D3100 DSLR. The S5100 brings a 12-megapixel sensor and a 28-140mm zoom lens.
The S1100pj is paired with a 350 Euro (~$445 USD) price tag, while the S5100 will fetch 170 Euro (~$215 USD). Nikon is expected to make an official announcement sometime in the next few weeks, as the images were included in the magazine's September issue. [via Nikon Rumors]
