Review: Samsung Vibrant (Galaxy S)

T-Mo Galaxy S phone reviewed

Samsung took Android hype to a new level when it launched the Galaxy S; it's the first Android device to have a truly worldwide launch and to hit all US carriers within weeks. T-Mobile markets the phone under the name Samsung Vibrant but the hardware features and functionality are the same for other carriers who use the more popular Galaxy S moniker. While T-Mobile does include a few software frills with its edition of the phone, we believe the Galaxy S is an excellent smartphone regardless of which cellphone carrier you choose and may make Apple slightly nervous -- read our Vibrant review to find out why.

And another iPhone rip hits the market with the worlds worst mobile operating system. It's amazing but someone overtook Microsoft in making horrible c***, Google! Microsoft may have the worlds worst desktop OS, but Google has the worlds worst mobile.

Why can't we comment on the original article?

How much did Google and Samsung pay you to not allow us to comment on your original review of this phone?

    WP7 is coming

we can only hope that windows phone 7 will be successful(can't believe I'm saying this) and that M$ won't make such a crappy job after all. I had enough of this piece of shite called android- someone has to put an end to this stupid hype. In the more or less near future, I see Google becoming the next Microsoft, the only difference being that the former is far more evil than we think now.

    A good, fair honest review.

I have an iphone 4 right now and don't plan on getting another phone for some time but I am in Korea on vacation and I see this advertised all over the place. It does look like a iphone knock off but that could be a good thing.

I am not sure but in the screen comparisons between the iphone and the galaxy it looks like they're are using a 3gs and not a 4.

It always seems that Apple has "something" to

fear from iPhone competitors. I'm not exactly sure why. I'm sure that Apple realizes that there will continue to be close copies of the iPhone in both hardware and software. However, an iPhone is an iPhone and that's what the consumer is looking for. This isn't like playing "horseshoes" so getting close to the iPhone doesn't count.

Apple has already lost to the mainstream OS

Samsung VIbrant has a Super AMOLED screen, that's what distinguishes it.

Samsung has it, Apple won't. Is it that important? Nah, not really.

But what is important is the regular release of new phones with distinguishing features by multiple manufacturers

clearly some people just hate choices, and find choices to be a big disadvantage. They'd much rather have one phone released per year - and so there will always be a need for an Apple in this world.

However, other people find diversity to be a positive. The regular release of phones in the Android world, keeps the writers busy, and the excitement at a constant fever pitch - for those that like that sort of thing.

So we'll see review after review of Android phones, and a year from now, there will be news of an iPhone 5.
