PogoPlug Wireless Adapter arrives

CloudEngines this morning added a simple Wi-Fi adapter to extend the usefulness of a PogoPlug. The Wireless Adapter slips into a free USB port on the device and gives either the regular model or the PogoPlug Biz 802.11n networking to put its storage online without having to connect over Ethernet. Owners can fine-tune its settings through the same web interface they would use for the networked storage enabler.

As a reward for early adopters, the company is giving away the Wireless Adapter for free to anyone who already owns a PogoPlug. New owners can pay $30 to add it to their orders. To create an even field for newcomers, though, Cloud Engines is dropping the price of a standard PogoPlug from $129 to $99 that offsets the cost.
