BlackBerry 9700 replacement leaked in document
A new BlackBerry handset, believed to be the Bold 9780, has been leaked in more detail through an internal note found by BGR. The device is due to replace the Bold 9700 and the sheet reveals it will be out in October. Specs include an upgrade to a five-megapixel camera, twice as much RAM at 512MB, and BlackBerry 6 from the start.
The device will closely resemble the current Bold 9700 and also lack a touchscreen, although it still has a relatively sharp 2.44-inch display with a 480x360 resolution. There is otherwise support for microSDHC cards up to 32GB in capacity, Bluetooth 2.1 and a 3.5mm audio jack. Pricing remains unknown, as does which carriers will get the device, although most GSM carriers in North America are very likely to get the option.
