HTC Desire HD, Desire Z spoiled by UK reseller

HTC Desire HD and Desire Z show at Mobiles.co.uk
HTC's Desire HD and companion Desire Z have been given away by the "coming soon" page at UK reseller Mobiles.co.uk. Although no photos are on show, the Desire HD's specs have been validated by the Carphone Warehouse division. It's due to ship with Android 2.2 and will have a large 4.3-inch screen, a 1GHz processor, an eight-megapixel camera with 720p video and 4GB of built-in storage.
The Desire Z has seldom been seen but should be a QWERTY slider version of the regular Desire with its more moderate 3.7-inch screen but the same 1GHz chip. Unusually, the ad still mentions the Z having Android 2.1, but this isn't considered probable given HTC's plans to upgrade all phones to 2.2 by the end of the year.
Both phones are probable if not certain for HTC's September 15 event, which may have more devices in store. The Desire HD and Z may ship first in Europe, but most recent HTC devices have been converted to the US sometime later. [via Engadget]
