iBuyPower outs Paladin XLC gaming PC with Core i7
Gaming PC maker iBuyPower on Thursday announced the release of its latest high-end gaming tower, the Paladin XLC. It's powered by a choice of Intel Core i7 processors, all cooled by Asetek's 240mm radiator-based liquid cooling system. The NXZT Phantom Red case it ships in has room for as many as seven fans, including 200mm, single 230mm/200mm, triple 120mm and front 140mm fans.
Buyers can also option up to 24GB of RAM, triple ATI or NVIDIA graphics cards in SLI or Crossfire and as many as seven hard or solid state drives. There are two optical drive bays that can be filled with dual-layer DVD drives or Blu-ray writers. Gamers can opt to have the system factory overclocked by as much as 30 percent.
At launch, the system is only available with a Phantom Red case, though white and black cases will be added in September. Pricing starts at $1,459.
