MSI intros FX610 notebookwith Phenom II CPU

MSI has brought a new version of its 15.6-inch FX600 notebook to the US with the FX610. Rather than Intel's Core i5 in the FX600, however, the FX610 uses an AMD Phenom II chip. At the same time, the 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 325M graphics are replaced with a 1GB ATI Radeon HD 5470.

The balance of the key specs remain identical, including the 720p resolution screen, standard 500GB hard drive with 640GB and 750GB capacities optional, and a six-cell battery. As expected, there is both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth onboard, while the integrated webcam can record 720p video at 30FPS. The systems even weigh the same 5.3lbs.

MSI has not yet revealed pricing or ship dates for the FX610 but usually does so closer to a local launch.
