Sonos delays iPad Controller app until next month

The Sonos Controller for iPad has been delayed from August until the end of September, according to the copmany. Exactly why hasn't been revealed, but it the app isn't considered fully developed and ready for a release. Sonos promised the wait will be worthwhile, and assured that the iPhone app would continue to work on iPads.

The iPad app differs from the iPhone app in how much information it shows on the iPad's extra screen area. The navigation menu, current track and dedicated playback controls are always shown, while switching views brings up active rooms and existing song queue from any given player. Volume can be changed by individual device or all of them at once. The controller is compatible with Sonos' ZonePlayer S5, Speaker Bundle 250 and every other Sonos system released to date.
