Sony A550 DSLR camera replacements leaked

A pair of successors to Sony's Alpha A550 have been leaked thanks to Sony Alpha Rumors. The A580 is said to have a 16-megapixel sensor while the A560 would sport a 14-megapixel one. In comparison, the A550 had a 14.2-megapixel sensor, but all have an ISO range of between 100 and 12,800.

The cameras also share both a Memory Stick Duo and SD memory card slot, with a tilting LCD display on the rear of the camera as well. New features include 15 autofocus points as opposed to nine on the A550. Burst shooting rates are set at five frames per second. The new DSLRs will also have the capability to shoot 1080i AVCHD (H.264) videos, a relative first for Sony.

Prices and ship dates for the two new cameras remain unknown.
