Running Samsung’s TouchWiz OS?

Leaked images of the Samsung Craft have surfaced again. The marquee phone for the MetroPCS LTE (Long Term Evolution) launch later this year, it appears to be running the latest version of Samsung’s TouchWiz UI normally reserved for its its basic phones. Many had assumed Samsung would opt for Android or Windows Phone 7 to push Internet access.

The phone uses LTE only for data and is said to include a full HTML browser to capitalize on the download speeds of up to 5-12Mbps downstream. It will, however, still depend on CDMA for voice. It's expected to also include a three-megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.1 and a Qualcomm processor.

The Samsung Craft first surfaced as the R900 in March this year before receiving FCC approval at the end of July. When it debuts on MetroPCS’ LTE network, the Craft is expected to retail for around $300.
