Toshiba SmartPad official debut due for September

Toshiba's upcoming SmartPad tablet will officially be released by at the IFA 2010 show in Berlin that runs between September 3 and 8. The latest reports also had the clearest photos to date of the device, which reveals four touch buttons and an LED battery life indicator. While the hardware specs aren't confirmed, previous rumors had the device with a 10-inch screen, NVIDIA's Tegra 2 platform and Google's Android.

There is no indication of a Windows 7-powered SmartPad this time around, but it has now been revealed that a front-facing webcam will be integrated for video calls. There are also two speakers at the bottom of the pad, and a connector for a docking station. An HDMI output has been confirmed now, and there will be both regular and mini USB ports.

There is still no indication of price, but the tablet has been pegged as shipping sometime in October. [via NotebookItalia]
