Users can load multiple tabs simultaneously
Shortly after LG's GW910 smartphone surfaced in an FCC listing, a pre-release version has been previewed in a video demo showing the Windows Phone 7 browser. The mobile Internet Explorer adaptation appears to offer a similar browsing experience to that of iOS and Android, but with a few unique features. Users will be able to simultaneously load multiple tabs.
The video, posted on Pocketnow, shows several tests against the iPhone 4 and Nexus One. The WP7 browser was able to load several sites faster than the other handsets, while only lagging slightly behind in other tests. Panning, scrolling and zooming functionality appeared to be smooth, even though the browser is still in the late stages of beta development.
Microsoft recently announced that a finalized version of the Windows Phone 7 development kit will be available sometime in the next few weeks, while the first handsets are expected to arrive in the US later in November.
