Google yet to find Google Music chief
Google is still searching for an executive to head up its Google Music service, a rumor contended this afternoon. The search giant has talked to multiple "digital media executives," sources mentioned to AllThingsD, but hasn't yet found someone it would like to lead the music store. Google hadn't commented on the claims at press time.
The search might compound problems Google has had in fulfilling its ambitions for its service. It has hoped for a streaming service that would give access to a music collection both on the web and on at least Android phones, but it's rumored to be struggling with label representatives who so far have refused any agreement put forward by Google. The company reportedly brought on a veteran negotiator to try and end the impasse.
Previous rumors had put the store opening in November or December after an accelerated process, but without either a leader or a definite agreement, it's uncertain whether Google can launch a service in time. It's now in a race with Apple now that cloud-based media services could come shortly after the iPod maker completes its data center in North Carolina.

That should be easy to do...
HP's ex-CEO Hurd is looking for a new job. He'd probably be a good fit over there running Google's music store as long as there aren't too many female employees for him to harass.
