Kodak ESP 9250 claims top spot in AIO inkjets


Kodak in an unusual Friday launch brought out the ESP 9250 as its new flagship inkjet all-in-one. The printer carries 802.11n Wi-Fi for local network printer sharing, including through iOS devices, and optionally takes a Bluetooth adapter. It prints in color at 9,600DPI, with duplexing an option, and scans at a true 2,400DPI.

The design is comparatively quick for an inkjet, as it print four-by-six-inch photos as quickly as in 29 seconds and sends regular color images at up to 30 pages per minute. Faxing and straight-ahead copying work at up to 26 pages per minute. A multi-format card reader takes photos directly from most point-and-shoot cameras.

ESP 9250 printers should be on store shelves by the end of the month for $250.
