LG to show ultra-thin OLED 3D TV, 180-inch plasma

At the IFA show that kicks off on Friday, LG will show off the world's thinnest and only OLED 3D TV, at 2.9mm or just over a tenth of an inch. The 31-inch display rumored earlier operates at 600Hz, though no other technical specs were unveiled. Likewise, prices or a release date remain unknown.

At the same time, and among production-ready 3D TV sets that include plasmas, the company will demonstrate a 180-inch plasma 3D TV prototype. This would be the largest 3D HDTV in the world. Details on this set, however, are even more scarce, but are expected to be fleshed out during the show.[via i4u]
