Nokia C6-01 to have Symbian^3, touchscreen only
A new Nokia handset was leaked recently, thanks to an early posting on the Nokia Online Store in the Netherlands. After some research by MobileGeekInc, the C6-01 device is believed to sport an eight-megapixel camera and will use the Symbian^3 operating system. The details have been confirmed by a user agent profile from Nokia itself, which also reveals that the device will not have a hardware QWERTY keyboard but a full touchscreen.
Compared to its predecessor, the C6-00, there is no gap for a sliding face when viewed from its side, another telltale sign of a touch-only body.
Symbian^3 is an open-source OS and supports multi-touch, single-tap actions. It has multiple home screens with widgets. Unique is a visual multitasking system that allows users to bring up a view of active app windows and choose to switch to or close those apps without leaving the existing view.
When the C6-01 ships or what it will officially cost remains unknown, although a "250" price has been mentioned and, if in euros, may hint at a price equivalent to $320.
