T-Mobile gets BlackBerry Curve 3G on September 8

T-Mobile on Monday said that the BlackBerry Curve 3G smartphone is coming to its network on September 8. It will cost $80 when attached to a two-year contract on a smartphone platform. Whether it will ship with BlackBerry OS 6 preloaded is unknown but also unlikely, although RIM has promised updates in the future.

The handset sports GPS and Wi-Fi along with its namesake 3G HSPA network access. It has just 256MB of RAM and takes microSDHC cards for its main strage. Most cost cutting is present in the visuals, as it has a two-megapixel camera with video recording and the same 320x240 screen as in the Curve 8500. T-Mobile's Curve 3G will also get HotSpot calling over Wi-Fi.
