New leaks surface from Poland
A Polish tech blog has spilled more intriguing details about the upcoming LG Optimus E900, including the possibility that it will be packing a 1.3Ghz Snapdragon QSD8650A chip. The handset centers on a 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen, runs Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7, and is said to include multi-mode UMTS and CDMA 3G. Assisted GPS rounds out the package.
While spy shots confirm that the E900 will also include a mini USB port and 3.5mm audio, confirmation of the processor will seemingly have to wait until its official announcement. If the E900 does include the QSD8650A CPU, it will be the first smartphone to feature the new Qualcomm chip. To date, only the QSD8650 1Ghz Snapdragon has seen the light of day in devices such as HTC’s Evo 4G.
The reported pricing of $300 to $400 does not, however, seem consistent with its purported features. Windows Phone 7 handsets will be officially released in Europe in October, with the North American releases slated for November. [via Android.Com.Pl]
