PogoPlug ships products, outs firmware update

Cloud Engines, maker of the PogoPlug NAS adapter, announced on Tuesday that it has posted a promised software update that will let users print from their iPads, iPhones, Android smartphones or other Internet connected devices from anywhere they can get an Internet connection. At the same time, the company said that its PogoPlug Biz and the Wi-Fi Adapter are both shipping. The update should be delivered to all users before week's end.

Printing supports most HP or Epson printers made since 2005. The Wireless Extender doesn’t require a hard-wiring of the PogoPlug device, while the Biz gives added features to business owners, including customizable e-mails, a unique interface, multiple user access and both file download and access stats.

The PogoPlug itself costs $99, the Biz $299 and the Wi-Fi adapter another $29. Previous PogoPlug owners who paid $129 can get the wireless add-on for free. [via CrunchGear]
