Verizon has announced that customers can now access on-demand movies from their mobile phones through a $6 Crackle subscription, while Sanyo has announced two new mobile charging devices that will be released in Japan at the end of October
A new premium movie subscription service is being offered by Verizon via V CAST Video. For an additional $6 per month customers can add Crackle Movies to their V CAST subscription, providing access to on-demand movies from a mobile phone. The service currently features over 19 movies from the Sony Pictures library, such as Easy Rider, Blind Date, and Cable Guy. Verizon has also stated that two movies will be refreshed every week, allowing customers to access at least 25 different films each month. The subscription also provides users with access to other premium Crackle content, such as Crackle Originals, a web series that ranges in style from comedy to suspense.
