Service limited to premium subscriptions

Spotify has reportedly collaborated with Sonos to bring its streaming music service to the latter company's multi-room audio hardware. The software update will enable users to distribute the streaming content throughout their entire home, with the Spotify interface can be controlled directly from the dedicated Sonos controller or iPhone app.

The Sonos software v3.3 is expected to arrive as an automatic update by the end of September. The Spotify service will be primarily limited to customers in the UK, Finland, France, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain and Sweden. Accessing the streaming content from a Sonos player will require Spotify's £9.99/month premium subscription. [via TechCrunch]
