Sony outs S-Frame digital photo frames with AVCHD playback

Sony intros three S-Frame digital photo frames
Sony today announced three new S-Frame digital photo frames DPF-XR100, DPF-VR100 and DPF-D830. The former two have 10.2-inch, 1024x600 LED-backlit screens and can play back AVCHD (H.264) videos. They house an advanced image processor that can scale up to 256 megapixels.
The frames also get stereo audio playback, an alarm clock and Sweep Panorama playback for showing the entire panoramic photo taken by a supporting Sony camera. Each frame has 2GB of internal memory and a four-in-one memory card slot. Three music tracks are preloaded to add sound to slideshows, and users can add and play their own MP3 files as well. The XR100 alone gets a TruBlack panel that reduces reflections and boosts the contrast.
The 8-inch, 800x600 DPF-D830 frame is the first to be powered by a built-in rechargeable battery for more portable use.
The XR100, VR100 and D830 ship this November, priced at nearly $250, $200 and $150, respectively.
