Samsung N350 shown carrying 3G and LTE 4G access

Samsung as part of its IFA rollouts showed a new netbook with both 3G and 4G built-in. The N350 has both an HSPA+ modem for 3G networks and LTE for 4G in the same 10-inch frame. With the hybrid links, it can connect at a peak 100Mbps on cutting edge networks but still run at a quick 21Mbps on 3G.

No matter the connection type, it also represents one of Samsung's newer netbook designs with a chiclet keyboard and a stylized barrel hinge. Appropriately, it uses newer netbook components as well, stepping up to a 1.66GHz Atom N455 with 1GB of DDR3 memory and a 250GB hard drive. Wi-Fi is still present for short-range wireless, and a 1.3-megapixel camera leaves open the door for mobile video chat.

Samsung hasn't said when the N350 might ship, but its release will revolve around when 4G networks are available worldwide. Verizon's LTE network goes live at the end of 2010 while AT&T and T-Mobile are due in 2011.
