We test ViewSonic's media hub

The VMP75 NexTv is ViewSonic's latest foray into living rooms for what's quickly becoming a crowded field of media hubs. This network media player can serve up content from a variety of local and online sources and even has its own web browser. But is it a strong balance, or trying to do too much at once? And how does it stack up against an Apple TV? Our NexTV review hopes to provide an answer.

After all these years, ViewSonic is still on crack

I am glad that I told a potential financier to walk away from the table.

I don't know what these companies are

going to get out of these boxes as far as financial returns. It doesn't seem like any company is going to have much of an advantage over the other since they all pretty much do the same things. The only thing Apple has over most of these internet box vendors is iTunes with plenty of credit card accounts of people willing to spend money on shows.

Seriously who is in charge of these companies? Bill Gates? Every Apple product that comes out they manage to rip off in an attempt to beat Apple. First of all, in 30 years that has NEVER happened, so what makes them think it's going to happen now? Secondly, Apple TV is one of the few Apple products that even Apple has had issues selling, so obviously a rip off is gonna have even more issues selling. Why not stop investing in ripping off Apple products and try to make something NEW and better that Apple hasn't made yet?
