IE9 beta leaked in video ahead of release
Just over one week before the release of the public beta of Internet Explorer 9, a leak has shown what users can expect from the web browser. A short demo of the new browser is available in the video below by the source of the information, who says is in possession of the IE9 Beta installer. This follows an earlier leak of Microsoft Russia revealing a screenshot of the new browser.
The new IE9 graphical user interface can also be seen in the new video, though not much else is revealed other than the impressive graphics handling and a high score on the Acid3 standards test. IE9 Beta will be a full browser ready for the general public, unlike earlier Platform Preview releases, including Platform Preview 4, which can now be downloaded.
IE9 promises to be Microsoft's first truly accurate web browser with support for numerous modern rendering techniques along with HTML5. It should be much quicker and have a much faster JavaScript engine, and some web code will get hardware graphics acceleration that could enable more offline-quality effects and features.
