Japan to get first taste next week

Acer is set to debut its newest gaming PC, the Aspire Predator AG5900, in Japan next week. The system is powered by an unlocked Intel Core i7-875K quad-core chip clocking in at 2.93GHz (with Turbo Boost to 3.6GHz), coupled with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470 with 1.25GB of RAM. Acer's signature exotic case remains intact.

The PC comes fitted with 4GB of DDR3 RAM, but can support up to 16GB with upgrades. Standard equipment also includes a 1TB hard drive. It incorporates eight USB 2.0 ports as well as both DVI-I and HDMI ports. A DVD optical drive is also included. Japanese pricing is the equivalent of $1,895. Official US pricing and expected availability is yet to be confirmed, though most Predator models reach the country. [via Akihabara]
