Denon bringing iTunes AirPlay support to AVR receiver

Denon has committed to bringing iTunes AirPlay support to its AVR-4311CI audio/video receiver. Compatibility is with the wireless streaming platform is expected to be added sometime in the fall, allowing users to play iTunes tracks throughout the home. The 4311CI offers an Ethernet port for AirPlay connectivity, although Apple's system also supports Wi-Fi communication.
The high-end receiver features a variety of audio and video inputs, with support for several different surround sound decoders. The device integrates nine discrete power amp circuits, and each channel provides 140 watts of power.
Denon's AVR-4300CI retails for $2000. The AirPlay standard will be supported by devices from other manufacturers such as Marantz, Bowers & Wilkins, JBL and iHome, among others. [via Ubergizmo]
