Acer Liquid Metal made semi-official
Acer today confirmed the existence of the Liquid Metal and gave it a launch schedule. A representative told Electricpig that the Android 2.2 phone is now slated to reach at least the UK by the end of October. The firm declined to confirm either the hardware details or pricing.
The phone's primary upgrade to the Liquid E is its namesake metal backplate, which replaces the plastic of the original. It also adds a heavily requested camera flash and slightly improved performance (an 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7230) and graphics (an Adreno 205 core). Bluetooth 3.0 and a slightly larger 3.6-inch but still 800x480 display.
