MSI outs 3D AIO PC with glasses to North America

Taiwanese PC maker MSI on Tuesday brought the Wind Top AE2420 3D to North America. The first 3D touch screen all-in-one PC available in the industry also has the ability to turn 2D content such as home movies or DVD rentals to 3D, and has the capability to play 3D Blu-ray movies as well. The 23.6-inch multi-touch display has a 1080p resolution and a 120Hz LCD panel to generate the stereoscopic 3D images needed for the active shutter glasses.

General processing power comes from a 2.8GHz Intel Core i7 and 4GB of RAM while the graphics part of the equation gets handled by ATI's Radeon HD 5730 with 1GB of RAM. The 1TB hard drive is preloaded with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. The sides of the monitor have USB 3.0 ports and a Blu-ray drive, while Wi-Fi is built-in. The PC also has two integrated 5W speakers and a 10W subwoofer, along with a 1.3-megapixel webcam. An HDMI input and optical audio output are present as well.

The Wind Top AE2420 3D will ship to the US on September 20 for $1,800.
