Samsung i8700 with WP7 stars in early video

The Windows Phone 7-powered Samsung i8700 that was spotted in photos last week has now shown up in a video, courtesy of a user submitting a clip to DailyMotion. The video confirms that the handset will have multi-touch input support and there is clear evidence of access to Windows Phone Marketplace for purchasing apps. The overall interface and responsiveness of the OS is impressive as well.

Whether the camera is a five-megapixel unit or better is not revealed, but the quality of the photos is certainly high. The presence of flash is confirmed by the video, however. The screen size is large, and should be at least 3.5 inches across, according to Microsoft's guidelines for the OS. The same can be said for the prerequisite 1GHz processor.

The i8700's release details are still a mystery, but the earliest opportunity is an October launch for Europe or November for the US.
