3M intros pair of pico projectors for business users

3M shows 30 lumens MP160, MP180 pico projectors


3M on Wednesday introduced two new pocket projectors with the MP160 and MP180. Either sports 30 lumens of brightness and can produce 800x600 pictures. The portable devices are also said to provide a record-setting two hours of operation from a single battery charge despite their miniscule sizes.

The entry-level MP160 ships with VGA and composite video cables for its connections. The MP180 has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, while sporting a 4GB capacity, a microSD card slot and USB port. The user interface using a touchscreen and it can playback MP3 audio files. Both have stereo speakers and an audio output.

The MP160 and MP180 ship early in October, priced at $400 and $350, respectively.
