Omnia handset likely runs pre-release WP7 build

Microsoft has launched a Windows Phone 7 commercial based on the Bravo series The Rachel Zone Project. While Zoe has maintained a preference for RIM's BlackBerry handsets, her husband and business partner Rodger Berman shows off his Samsung Omnia prototype running a Bing utility on Windows Phone 7.

As Windows Phone 7 quickly approaches its expected launch time-frame, a variety of leaks and official confirmations suggest customers will be able to choose from a range of devices from LG, Samsung, and HTC. The final version of the WP7 developers kit should be released later this week, while the public launch is rumored to be set for October 11. [via Engadget]
