Looxcie is a wearable, always-on Bluetooth camera

Looxcie has introduced a wearable Bluetooth camera that doubles as a headset for handsets. It comes with a free Android app that lets compatible handsets work as a viewfinder, editor and control for uploading buffered clips to Twitter, YouTube or Facebook. The camera records MPEG-4 videos at 480x320 resolution at 15FPS onto a built-in 4GB flash drive.

The battery can last four hours in video recording mode, even though 4GB can store up to five hours of video. Whether stills can be captured isn't clear, thus unlikely. In Bluetooth headset mode, the battery is said to last 10 hours. Looxcie is always recording, with a 30-second buffer. Users can then save whatever happened during those last 30 seconds and onward by pressing the Instant Clip button.

The camera is listed at Amazon for $200. [via GottaBeMobile]
