1GB graphics, while GX660R includes Blu-ray

MSI has quietly added two new performance notebooks to its product range, the MSI GX660 and the MSI GX660R. Both machines share the same black casing with orange highlights, and also center on a 15.6 inch screen. They both also share Dynaudio speakers and Mobility Radeon HD 5870 discrete graphics.

Resolution and performance define the two. The GX600 runs a 2.4GHz Core i5, coupled with 4GB of RAM. The up-spec GX600R sports a 1.73GHz Core i7 quad-core chip. In keeping with its top-of-the-line status, it is coupled to 6GB of DDR3 RAM and upgrades to a 1080p display as well as a Blu-ray drive.

Both models are available now, and sell in the US for $1,450 and $1,750 respectively.
