Dell has slipped out its new Inspiron M501R with a quad-core AMD Phenom II N930. Also on offer is the Inspiron M5030 with a triple-core AMD Phenom II P320. The 15.6-inch notebook weighs in at 5.83 pounds and is built on AMD’s 880G chipset with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 integrated graphics on the M5030. The more powerful M501R includes the option of an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 550v 1GB for graphics. They both come pre-installed with Windows Home Premium 64-bit and can be fitted with up to 8GB DDR3 RAM, though both come with 4GB in standard trim.

Audio is enhanced by SRS Premium sound, and both come with a 1.3-megapixel webcam. Ports include eSATA, HDMI, and a 7-in-1 card reader. The M501R comes with a 500GB hard drive and the M5030 a 320GB hard drive. Other standard inclusions are a DVD burner and a six-cell battery. Both models come in four different color options including Obsidian Black, Peacock Blue, Lotus Pink or Tomato Red. The base configuration starts at $750 with free shipping. [via LogicBuy]
