In-built Zuiko lens, a world’s first

Olympus is prepping the world’s first compact digital camera with an in-built Zuiko lens. The decision will give it optics normally reserved for the company's more advanced DSLR lenses. The new camera’s accessory port will also be compatible with the accessories already available for the Olympus E-P2 and E-PL1 cameras.

No pricing has yet been announced for the new camera, although it is expected to ship in early 2011. A mock-up of the new compact flagship will be on display at Photokina.
