Titanium edition limited to 500 pieces
Leica has unveiled a special edition camera, the M9 Titanium, which was featured at a special event in Cologne. The camera is an upgraded version of the semi-professional M9, extensively constructed from titanium and designed in collaboration with Volkswagen. Leather trim, LED-illuminated frame lines, and fingerprint resistant overlays distinguish the special edition from its basic counterpart.
The company packages the camera with a titanium lens hood, new handstrap, and a customized holster. A 35mm Summilux F/1.4 prime lens has also been designed specifically for the special edition, using titanium components to match the body.
While the standard M9 fetches nearly $8,000, the Titanium edition will set customers back by €22,000 (~$28,730 USD). The company has limited production to just 500 pieces. [via Leica Rumors]
