HTC Evo 4G, Hero get software updates, fixes

A software update for the HTC Evo 4G has just been released by Sprint. As outlined on Sprint's support page, the 3.29.651.5 update will resolve issues related to synchronizing multiple Gmail accounts, a bug fix with editing events in the calendar and, most importantly, the limitation of the display operating at 30fps, though this isn't reflected on the support page.

At the same time, the HTC Hero will benefit from a similar update that will fix the GPS reboot issue and slow dialer performance. It remains locked to Android 2.1 since its hardware can't handle the resources of the newer OS.
