BlackBerry Torch delayed by a week in Canada

The BlackBerry Torch 9800 smartphone, which was supposed to launch today at Canada's major providers, Bell and Rogers, has been delayed by one week, until September 29 and 30 respectively. While no official reason was given, it's likely the issue lies on RIM's side, as it's the common denominator in both cases.

Bell simply updated its Torch webpage to reveal the delay, while the official Rogers blog, Redboard, updated an existing article.

At smaller carriers, Telus and Virgin Mobile, the Torch is simply said to be coming soon.

Rogers prices the Torch at $200CAD ($195) on a three-year term, while Bell will sell it for $180CAD ($175).
