"Smart Templates" to make creation easier

Longtime Mac software maker Chronos updated their SOHO Business Cards program to version 3, featuring new "smart templates" that assist users in the drag-and-drop publishing app by showing them precisely where to drag textures and backgrounds, auto-launching appropriate libraries for portions of the templates that are active, and automatically resizing dragged-in graphics to fit. The program also makes extensive use of a CoverFlow-like artwork browser to make searches faster.

The new v3, which requires 10.5.8 or higher, supports an enhanced font preview list, curved and spiral text, a "paste and match style" function to copy the attributes of nearby text, canvas scrolling, a Trim to Card view to hide bleeds and leftover objects, new "Smart Shapes," editing of bezier shapes and more.

In addition, Chronos offers 20 iScrapKits, libraries of matched graphics also used in their popular iScrapbook application. SOHO Business Cards supports all the main business card stock manufacturers such as Avery, PaperDirect and Neato, for a total of over 700 compatible card stocks. It works well with all major laser and inkjet printer models.

The program is offered as a fully-functional 30-day trial, and priced at $40. Upgrades from previous versions are $25, and family packs are available from the company's web store.
