HTC Verizon QWERTY slider gets detailed shots
HTC's mystery Android QWERTY slider has been spotted today in greater detail than before. The tip to BGR shows the slider, codenamed the ADR6325 and possibly the Merge, much closer to its finished design without the red keyboard background but a metal or metal-effect look. It would ship with Android 2.2 and Sense UI out of the box, but it has a Bing icon that suggests it might not be labeled as a Droid phone.
The new tip characterizes it as a dual-mode phone with Verizon-native CDMA and roaming GSM, but it would superficially be a standard phone with a five-megapixel camera and a microSDHC slot. Previous stories have suggested it might have a 1.2GHz processor and possibly move to dual-core.
Most tips have put the ADR6325's release early next year, which would give it a chance of being part of Verizon's 4G phone roadmap as well as running Android 3.0, though none of these could be verified in the current build.
