Origin EON17 gaming notebook coming mid-October

Origin has released its latest gaming notebook, the EON17. The 17.3-inch desktop replacement offers Intel's six-core 3.33GHz Core i7 CPU, as much as 24GB of RAM and dual 2GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480M GPUs in an SLI configuration. An HDMI 1.4 output is available for when 3D content needs to be displayed that's not possible with the notebook's own 1080p display.

A Blu-ray combo drive is standard fare. Users can choose from a plethora of hard and solid state drives, ranging from 320GB to 1TB rotating disks as well as 40GB to 512GB SSDs for the EON17's three drive bays. Buyers can also opt to customize their EON17 thanks to a partnership with Killer Paint, allowing airbrush designs.

Pricing for the EON17 starts at $2,500, and the notebook ships on October 18.
