Acer ships upgraded Predator gaming PCs to US

Acer has added new models to its Aspire Predator gaming series with the mainstream-oriented AG5900-U3902 and the flagship AG7750-U3222. The former was unveiled for Japan earlier this month, and shares many of the major specs with the higher-end model. This includes a quad-core Intel Core i7 CPU, 1.5TB of storage space and Windows 7 Home Premium. The standard CPU in the AG5900 is a 2.93GHz Core i7 combined with 8GB of RAM.

Graphics processing is handled by ATI's 1GB Radeon HD 5850 graphics card while 5.1-channel sound processing is onboard. Connections include 12 USB ports, an HDMI jack, DisplayPort, an Ethernet jack and two DVI ports.

The AG7750-U3222 gets a 2.8GHz Core i7 CPU and 12GB of RAM. Two of NVIDIA's 3D-capable GeForce GTX 470 cards come in SLI mode, and there is support for 7.1-channel audio. A two-part liquid cooling system keeps the system cool. Connections include 11 USB 2.0 ports, FireWire, two eSATA ports, two Ethernet ports, two DVI-D ports and five audio jacks.

The two are now shipping; the AG5900-U3092 is priced starting at $1,350 and the Acer Aspire AG7750-U3222 at $2,000.
