Onkyo brings three Atom Win 7 tablets to Japan

Onkyo has just introduced three new tablets for its home market in Japan. Each gets Windows 7 for the OS, but the TW117A4 and TW217A5 get a 10.1-inch display rather than the 11.6-inch screen on the TW317A5. The former pair also gets the 1.66GHz Atom N450, while the larger model gets the 1.6GHz Atom Z530.

Other common specs include 1GB of RAM, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1. The TW117A4 alone has a 160GB hard drive, with the others relying on a faster but less capacious 32GB SSD. The larger model's screen has a 720p resolution. The models will weigh between about 1.9 and 2.2lbs, with battery life ranging from a maximum of 3.8 hours to 6.4, depending on the model.

The three slates will ship in October in Japan, with prices expected to range from the equivalent of $800 to $1,122. Whether they are due to arrive in North America is also unknown but not considered likely. [via Akihabara]
