Gateway outs NV notebook with integrated WiMAX

Gateway has added a WiMAX-capable version of the NV59C series today through the NV59C66u. The 15.6-inch notebook uses Intel's 6250 Wi-Fi/WiMAX combo to get 4G access and can be had with an Intel Core i3, Core i5 or AMD Athlon or Turion processors, along with 4GB of RAM that can be upgraded to 8GB. Hard drive space ranges from between 320GB and 500GB.

It centers on a 720p screen, while an HDMI output lets users connect external displays. The keyboard has an integrated numberpad. A DVD drive is standard, with a Blu-ray drive optional. A social networking button gives users quick access to Facebook, YouTube and Flickr.

The WiMAX-aware NV59C66u is now shipping for $700 and needs service from Clear or Sprint to get its faster Internet access.
