Gateway ZX One gets 2010 remake with Blu-ray

Gateway on Wednesday released a genuinely new redesign of the ZX One all-in-one desktop to make it better-suited as a media center. The 21.5-inch ZX4951 and 23-inch ZX6951 both have a new, curved design that it hopes is friendlier in the home. A more practical upgrade gives both of them Blu-ray drives and turns them into home theater PCs for those with little free space.

The ZX4951 is a basic model with a 2.8GHz Pentium dual-core, 4GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive but does have a 1080p resolution and multi-touch support. Opting for the ZX6951 keeps the resolution the same but moves to a noticeably faster 3.2GHz Core i3, a larger 640GB hard drive and a TV tuner to pick up both HD and regular broadcasts. Intel's basic integrated graphics are common in either model.

Together, the PCs should be available today and cost $899 for the ZX4951 and $999 for the ZX6951.
