MetroPCS launches Dallas 4G LTE service

Wireless provider MetroPCS on Wednesday announced that it has now made its 4G LTE service available in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, the second rollout after Las Vegas. The service, available on the 4G LTE-compatible Samsung Craft, will cost $55 per month all inclusive and include unlimited voice, text and web services, at least initially. Subscribers will have access to a social network and IM aggregation app that brings together Facebook, MySpace and Twitter along with AIM, MSN and Yahoo.

The MetroNavigator app brings voice-activated GPS and turn-by-turn directions. Also available is MetroPCS' MetroSTUDIO app, which give users access to on-demand videos, music downloads and ringtones. For a limited time, the Craft will be sold in local MetroPCS stores and online for $300 after a $50 instant rebate. More 4G LTE cities will be added by MetroPCS later in 2010 and early in 2011.
