Samsung Omnia, HTC T8788 show up in speed test

A newly spotted speed test from DSLReports has confirmed the existence of two upcoming Windows Phone 7 smartphones. The first is believed to be the Samsung i8700/Omnia 7, while the other is the HTC T8788. Both will run on Windows Phone 7, with the former expected to be a launch phone to coincide with the unveiling of Windows Phone 7 itself. The device isn't likely to be sold in the US.

The HTC T8788 will be the first WP7 handset to arrive at Verizon, says the source. This isn't likely to be out right in October, however, as Microsoft itself said CDMA handsets with WP7 will not be out at launch. [via WMPowerUser]
