Jawbone, Cisco bring out corporate BT headset

Jawbone headset maker Aliph and Cisco have partnered up on a new Bluetooth headset, the Jawbone Icon for Cisco. Based on the standard Jawbone Icon, the device will automatically pair with cell and Cisco Unified IP phones at the same time. From the headset, users can answer calls from either their desk or cell phone in sequence.

The headset can be updated with software and gets A2DP support for streaming audio as well as navigation instructions and Internet radio stations. The firmware updates are available through Aliph's MyTALK page.

The headset is now shipping in the US and Canada in bundles that include Cisco Unified IP Phones 9951 and 9971, with international shipments slated for October. Pricing hasn't been revealed.
