Samsung Transform, Sanyo Zio coming to Sprint?
A leaked image hints that two new Android smartphones are coming to Sprint relatively soon. The Kyocera Zio, badged as a Sanyo, is one of them, as is the Samsung Transform. Not much is known about the latter device, but it may be a Galaxy S-series Android device.
The image in the leaked flyer resembles that of the Epic 4G, however, and this one doesn't have a flip out hardware QWERTY, a first for Sprint's Galaxy S lineup. The name isn't very fitting, however. Whether it gets WiMAX support is also doubtful.
The Zio will be more mainstream, sporting a 3.5-inch, 800x480 touchscreen with a trackball. There will otherwise be a 3.2-megapixel camera and 256MB of internal storage, although a microSDHC slot gives it room for more.
As for arrival dates for either handset, the two new ones are expected very soon, as the BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330 also shown in the images came to Sprint last week. The CTIA show next week will likely introduce one or all of the new handsets.
